Lights up objects from beneath, encouraging exploration and investigation. Especially effective with translucent and transparent objects. Slim, light-weight (2.25kg) and very portable. Uses low energy and long lasting LED strip technology, and has rounded edges. Objects shown on the panel are for illustration purposes only and are not included.
Mains powered (low voltage, a universal adapter included). Only use the adapter prodvided or the rechargeable power pack intended for the panel.
With 3 brightness levels (accessed through the ON button); press once for lowest setting, again for the medium setting and once more for the brightest setting. Adjustable brightness allows you to choose the lowest setting for more sensory-sensitive users and conversely the highest setting for those with visual impairments.
Great for STEM, and an understanding of early science:
- comparing opaque and transparent/translucent objects
- colours and colour mixing
- light and shadow
- for displaying X-rays
Ideal for encouraging reluctant writers - this is comparatively more exciting and more engaging to write on top of than a desk/table alone
Also wonderful for displaying artwork, especially to a group so that each piece of work can be praised and discussed in turn
Suitable for imaginative activities such as viewing thumbprints made using ink stamps onto tracing paper
For use on a table top (not intended for wall-mounting). Can be used under our 22816 Exploration Tray.
Not a toy. For 3 years and over.
A+ energy rating.
Includes a Light Panel Guide, which is also available in French, German, Spanish, Polish and Swedish - please contact us to request this.

"A fantastic resource, strong and easy to use and very appealing to the children. It kept their concentration for longer than usual and they were interested in finding out how it worked and how it changed, using the buttons. We used with numbers, blocks and coloured paddles to increase understanding of mixing colours. Very engaging and well worth the money."
